Many of the shipments involve land transportation that span several countries. Our freight forwarding team prepares all the necessary customs clearance documents to ensure a smooth journey for our customers’ goods across borders.
Delivery Routing and Cargo Co-Loading
LF Logistics performs dynamic routing daily, determining the size of the delivery vehicle required and maximizing each vehicle’s usage of available capacity. This ensures that we meet the unique requirements of every single delivery without compromising deadlines. To maximize time and streamline operations, we also consider the possibility of co-loading a variety of products from different customers for deliveries to the same destinations or the same route. The savings realized translate into more competitive rates for our customers.
Transportation Depots & Cross-Docking
Using several vehicles to make direct deliveries to multiple destinations can be quite expensive. Instead, we consolidate our customers’ cargo into a large vehicle destined for one of our regional transportation depots. There, we perform cross-docking to segregate cargo into smaller trucks for delivery to the final destinations, which translates to lower transportation costs.
Customers who require their products to reach the consumer directly can rely on LF Logistics’ home delivery service. This service has become a common feature of the Omni-Channel strategy. As such, a truly personalized approach is required and includes the placement of advanced phone calls to the consumer in confirming delivery schedules, special wrapping of products, driver training, and helpers to communicate with the end consumer. As an extension of this service, our delivery personnel can also assemble or install products such as furniture and medical equipment.
